จุดสำคัญที่จะต้องจำเมื่อยื่นขอวีซ่า

Ties to home country: ความสัมพันธ์กับบ้านเกิด

Students must be able to show reasons for returning to their home country. "Ties" to their home country include job, financial prospects, investments, etc

นักเรียนต้องสามารถที่จะชี้แจ้งเหตุผลต่างๆ ในการที่จะเดินทางกลับบ้านเกิดได้ ข้อผูกมัดต่างๆ ต่อบ้านเกิด รวมถึงหน้าที่การงาน, ฐานะทางการเงิน, การลงทุน และอื่นๆ

English: ภาษาอังกฤษ

The interview with a consular officer will most probably be conducted in English, and not in the student's native language. If the student is entering the particular country to study English, he/she should be prepared to explain how English will be useful.

Speak for Yourself: พูดเพื่อ/ด้วยตนเอง

Students should not take family members along to the interview. The consular officer wants to interview only the visa applicant, and a negative impression may be created if the student is not prepared to speak on his/her own behalf.

นักเรียนไม่ควรพาสมาชิกในครอบครัว หรือญาติพี่น้องเข้าไปสัมภาษณ์ด้วย เนื่องจากเจ้าหน้าที่กงสุลต้องการที่จะสัมภาษณ์ และฟังคำชี้แจงต่างๆ จากตัวนักเรียนเพียงคนเดียว และมันไม่ค่อยน่าประทับใน ถ้านักเรียนไม่เตรียมข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับตัวเองมาเพื่อให้ข้อมูลแก่เจ้าหน้าที่กงสุล

Know the programme and how it fits into career plans: รู้เกี่ยวกับโปรแกรม และเหมาะสมอย่างไรกับอาชีพ

Students must be able to articulate the reasons for studying a certain programme in the particular country, and the significance to career plans upon returning home.

นักเรียนต้องสามารถที่จะให้ข้อมูลอย่างชัดเจนเกี่ยวกับโปรแกรมที่นักเรียนจะไปเรียนในประเทศนั้นๆ และวางแผนเกี่ยวหน้าที่การงานในอนาคตของนักเรียนได้เมื่อจบโปรแกรมการเรียน และเดินทางกลับบ้านเกิด

Be concise: กระชับ และรัดกุม

Consular officers are under pressure to conduct a quick and efficient interview. Students should be advised to keep answers short, clear and concise.

เจ้าหน้าที่กงสุลทุกท่านเข้าใจเป็นอย่างดีว่านักเรียนจะรู้สึกกดดันที่จะต้องสื่อสารอย่างฉับไว และให้ข้อมูลทุกอย่างอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ เพียงพอ และถูกต้อง ฉะนั้นนักเรียนตอบให้สั้น, กระชับ, ชัดเจน และตรงกับความเป็นจริง

It should be immediately clear to the consular officer what documents are being presented, and what they signify.

เอกสาร หรือข้อมูลต่างๆ ที่เตรียมมาจะต้องชัดเจน และทำให้เจ้าหน้าที่กงสุลเข้าใจในทันทีว่าเอกสารที่เตรียมมานั้นคืออะไร และมีจุดประสงค์อะไรถึงนำมาแสดง

Applicants from countries suffering economic problems or from countries where Students have remained in that particular country as immigrants will have more difficulty obtaining visas.

ผู้สมัครจากประเทศที่มีภาวะทางเศรษฐกิจฝืดเคือง หรือผู้สมัครจากประเทศอื่นๆ ที่ต้องการยื่นขอวีซ่าเข้าไปพำนักในประเทศนั้นจะมีความยากง่ายในการดำเนินขั้นตอนต่างกันไป

Employment: การจ้างงาน

The main purpose of going into the particular country should be to study. Students must be able to clearly articulate plans to return home after the course has finished.

เหตุผลหลักของการเดินทางไปต่างประเทศนั้นควรจะเป็นเหตุผลเกี่ยวกับการเรียน นักเรียนจะต้องสามารถที่จะชี้แจงข้อสงสัยเกี่ยวกับแผนการในอนาคตหลังจากกลับมาที่บ้านเกิด เมื่อจบโครงการ

Dependants remaining at home: กรณีที่มีผู้ที่เราให้การอุปถัมภ์อยู่ที่บ้านเกิด

If a student is leaving dependants behind in the country of origin he/she should be able to explain how the family will be supported in the absence of the student.

ในกรณีที่นักเรียนมีผู้ที่นักเรียนให้การอุปถัมภ์อยู่ที่บ้านเกิด นักเรียนจะต้องอธิบาย และชี้แจงว่าผู้ที่ได้รับการอุปถัมภ์จากนักเรียนจะดำเนินชีวิตต่อไปอย่างไร เมื่อนักเรียนเดินทางไปต่างประเทศแล้ว

Maintain a positive attitude: รักษาทัศนคติที่ดี

Students should be advised not to engage a consular officer in argument. If a Student visa is denied, the student should request a list of documents that should be presented to overcome the refusal, and also try to get the reason for refusal in writing.

นักเรียนจะต้องไม่ผูกใจเจ็บ แค้นเคือง หรือก่อเหตุทะเลาะวิวาทกับเจ้าหน้าที่กงสุล ถ้าวีซ่าของนักเรียนถูกปฏิเสธ นักเรียนควรขอรายการเอกสาร หรือข้อผิดพลาดต่างๆ ที่เป็นเหตุให้ถูกปฏิเสธวีซ่าในครั้งนี้ เพื่อที่จะได้นำไปประกอบการหาเอกสารเพิ่มเติมในการขอวีซ่าครั้งต่อไป รวมทั้งถามถึงเหตุผลที่นักเรียนถูกปฏิเสธวีซ่าด้วย

Finances: ฐานะทางการเงิน

Students should prepare any important financial documents to show evidence that he/she will be able to finance the studies.

นักเรียนต้องเตรียมเอกสารสำคัญต่างๆ เกี่ยวกับฐานะทางการเงินของนักเรียน ครอบครัวของงนักเรียน หรือผู้ที่ให้การอุปถัมภ์นักเรียนให้เพียงพอเพื่อนำไปแสดงแก่เจ้าหน้าที่กงสุล และชี้แจงว่านักเรียนมีหลักทรัพย์เพียงพอที่จะเรียนในต่างประเทศ
